The Triemstra Family
Sunday, February 5th, 2012
We found a couple of new locations for the Triemstra’s shoot. We wanted a rugged, Western kind of setting for one of the sets. I found this great cactus farm out in Beaumont that was great for photography.
Their boy has grown quite a bit since our last shoot. Plus, they’ve got a new one!

The next John Wayne, I think.

Yucaipa Multi-Generation Party/Photo-shoot
Saturday, January 21st, 2012
This is how a multi-generation shoot should be done:
- Gorge yourself on post-holiday food until you feel too sleepy to help with the dishes
- Bribe children ages 2-64 with M&M’s to make them smile for the photographer
- Take the canoe out for a paddle and make-out session
- Challenge the in-laws to cornhole
- Relax in the tree swing
- Beat up on a snowman piñata until he drops a load of candy
- Repeat as desired
This photoshoot was a blast. How often do you get to use a full-sized teepee as a backdrop?

Grandma looks relaxed, right?

Remember these guys’ engagement photos?

Yeah, these guys know what they’re doing.

Awwwww….

Get this kid a barbell and he’s ready for the summer olympics U.S. power-lifting team.

This guy is such an athlete, he blindfolded himself.

Ahh, Kimosabe… some candy not found in snowman.

The Verhoef Family from the Frozen Tundra
Wednesday, January 18th, 2012
These guys are, without a doubt, some of our favorite Canadians. And we’re from Minnesota, so we know Canadians. Their kids are a riot, and I loved watching them all interact with each other – jumping, dancing, and thumb-wrestling.
This particular Verhoef family turns up in Southern California annually, and I was pumped to get to do a shoot with them while they were in Redlands.
