The Crumbys in Fargo

Friday, August 20th, 2010

Yes, Fargo! It was really fun to do a shoot in Fargo while we were visiting family in the Midwest. I was pumped to book another session with these kids after photographing them during our trip to Minnesota last year. This time, dad got to come along with their nephew to get in on the shoot. We had a lot of fun shooting in some great midwest light. Thanks for calling again this year, Kristen. I hope we get to do it again next summer!

The Diederichs Family

Sunday, August 15th, 2010

I get nervous for some shoots more than others. I was especially nervous for the Diederichs shoot because they are good friends with The Youngrens down in San Diego, two photographers I have looked up to for a long time. But once we started shooting and they forgave me for dumping their newborn over in his basket, I relaxed a bit. Plus their three-year-old was awesome and reminded me of Maddie.

As I mentioned, they were recently blessed with a baby boy and needed to get some photos for his announcement. We had a great time together.

“How will I take over the world?”

Congratulations, guys!

The Verhoeven Family

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

It was my great pleasure to photograph three generations of the Verhoeven family. It’s fun to hang out with a family with a great sense of humor. These guys were fun to be with. I love the photographs with the entire family; it’s a great testament to the marriage that the two stars of the shoot have created. Congratulations Verhoeven family.
