The Wagners are a pretty special family to us. Madelyn comes home from their house twice a week talking non-stop about working in the yard, seeing the goats, or today it was playing with a shovel. (I don’t know what that was about.) It’s an indescribable relief to know that our kids are with a family that loves them like we do when we both have to work.
So it was fun for us to get to photograph their family again. And this year, they even wanted to include Maddie and Mackenzie in the session. Thank you, Wagners for all of your love and the fun you bring to our little family!

A little over a year ago, my cousin, Jeremiah traveled out to Redlands from North Dakota for a quick visit. He was here to interview for a medical fellowship with Kaiser. Jill and I were really excited about the possibility of Jeremiah and his family coming out here for a year, but Fontana was just one of several places around the country in which he was interviewing. Happily for us, California won out. I think it had something to do with Rubio’s tacos. The year is going very quickly, but we’ve been having a great time getting to know them and their kids, who are a riot by the way. The kids bring a lot of energy to their house. But apparently, not enough.
This little girl was born just a couple of months ago. She gets lots of attention from her siblings, and it’s fun to see the kind of energy she brings to their home.
