We wanted a rugged, Western kind of setting for one of the sets. I found this great cactus farm out in Beaumont that was great for photography.

Their boy has grown quite a bit since our last shoot. Plus, they’ve got a new one!

The next John Wayne, I think.

They are one of our go-to families when we’re in a bind and need a place for the girls while Jill and I go on an emergency date-night. You may remember Katie-Jo from her senior portraits a while back. They were also one of the families that circled their wagons around us when Madelyn was diagnosed last spring. They were frequent visitors to the Loma Linda Children’s Hospital throughout the summer, and they were instrumental in creating and distributing the “Pray for Maddie” pink bracelets that we still wear.

In short, the Woodrows are on our awesome list forever. We so enjoyed doing a photoshoot with them at Corona Del Mar. Thank you so much, Woodrows for taking care of us when we needed it, and loving our girls all the time.

I think it’s a great time of life to capture through photography. We had a blast shooting near one of the many antique shops in Beaumont and then we found a great spot under the freeway. Jessica knew what she was doing in front of the camera and was incredibly easy to photograph. Her friend, Carissa tagged along to get some shots together as  bonus, which I always welcome.
