Alyssa – ACA Class of 2011

She has a passion for photography and a drive for volleyball. Alyssa couldn’t wait to show her dad her senior photos to see if he’d cry. His little girl is grown.

My wife had Alyssa in her music classes when she was in elementary and middle school. She even played trombone for a little while. Alyssa is planning to study photography in college. She’s into landscape photography and has dabbled with some portraits. We had a blast walking around Beaumont finding great light and goofing around. Alyssa’s sister served as her accomplice in goofing around. To see them together was a lot of fun. It made me think of my two toddler daughters. I’m sure I’ll cry when I see Madeline’s senior photos.

Still Catching Up – Rayna’s Graduation

I had the awesome privilege of photographing the Groshong family for a second time last month. This time, they brought some out-of-towners! I thought they were crazy before, but after meeting the rest of their family, I had no idea.

Chloe is fantastic. She’s got style, a sweet boyfriend, and now a high school diploma. Nothing’s going to stop her. ACA Senior – Rachel

Rachel is graduating! Rachel and her family are world class folk. They are super involved with Redlands Christian School, Arrowhead Christian Academy, and The River Church. They are awesome baby-sitters. Our girls love going over to their place to play. And Jill and I don’t mind sending them every so often so that we can get away for an afternoon.

Rachel’s parents won this senior portrait session by outbidding everyone in the silent auction during ACA’s Cirque du ACA fundraiser. We had a great time in our session shooting in some really cool light. Congratulations, Rachel!

Cassidy

Cassidy is graduating from Redlands Christian School. She’s headed to the big show – high school. I was pumped to get to photograph Cassidy for her 8th grade graduation. I got to do a shoot with Cassidy and her siblings last year at this time when her older sister was graduating from RCS. Cassidy is a natural in front of the camera. As you can see, she rocked this shoot.

Senior – Danae, Round Two

It was a privilege for me to photograph Danae. As I mentioned before, Danae and her family have been part of our lives since the day we moved out to California. She even came out to Fargo, ND along with her mom and sisters to play the harp in our wedding. I’m so glad I got the opportunity to do something for them.

This was the last shot of the day and I think it’s my favorite.

Senior – Danae Round 1

We’ve known Danae and her family since we moved out to California eight years ago. Jill taught Danae and her sisters piano lessons, and at one point the girls claimed that it was their favorite part of their day. Jill and I often think about the incredible people that are part of our lives. Over the past decade, this family has made it their mission to support young couples like us. They have made an indelible mark on an important part of our lives, and we are forever grateful to them.

With this in mind, it was such a privilege to be able to shoot Danae’s senior photos. I just can’t believe she’s a senior in high school!
