I’ve had a deep desire to pursue photography since I left college seven years ago. I bought a Minolta SLR film camera from Ebay, a couple of lenses, filters, a reflector, and a bag and started having a blast. I read as many photography books as I had time for and shot as much film as I could afford. In addition to photography, I fell in love with journalism and have been writing for the local papers as a freelancer. Now, I have the opportunity to combine these two passions into one medium of expression – Mark Leonard Imaging.
Photographic journalism has been around for a long time, but it has recently taken root in portraiture as people wish to not only chronicle their image but capture the stories of the people, places, and events of their lives. Many photographers call it lifestyle photography.
